CDL training cost in Louisiana
License fees and school charges are different bills. The fee lines below are copied from the Louisiana licensing source opened . They are not a tuition estimate, and they are not added together into one “total cost.”
License fees on the official page
- CDL fee
- The businesses page says the license fee is $61.50, or $76.50 for an Orleans Parish resident, plus a $15 application fee. Additional endorsements are $7.50 each, except a motorcycle endorsement at $12. An applicable parish fee is not to exceed $8. A duplicate is $5 plus any applicable parish fee not to exceed $6. A license expired more than 10 days is assessed a $15 delinquent fee. The new-CDL page says hazardous-materials fingerprinting through Integrated Biometric Technology is $85.25. That amount is the fingerprint charge, not the $7.50 endorsement line.
- Skills-test fee
- The businesses page says a third-party skills test is $100 if the applicant provides the vehicle. Vehicle rental is at the tester’s discretion. The pages checked do not print an Office of Motor Vehicles skills-test dollar.

How much does CDL training cost in Louisiana?
This page does not publish a statewide tuition. The license amounts are the lines on the official fee source checked October 29, 2026. A school price appears only when a named program page was already checked, and that price is not a quote for another school.
Are the Louisiana license fees the whole bill?
No. A permit, a license card, a skills test, a medical exam, and a school charge are different payments. If one of those lines was missing from the licensing page, it is not filled in from another state.
Does a directory listing include the price?
No. A listing in the Louisiana school directory is not a tuition quote and not a funded seat.
