CDL training cost in Georgia
License fees and school charges are different bills. The fee lines below are copied from the Georgia licensing source opened . They are not a tuition estimate, and they are not added together into one “total cost.”
License fees on the official page
- CLP fee
- A Class AP or BP commercial learner permit is $10 and, on or after July 1, 2021, is valid for 365 days. The $10 is paid before the test begins. It is not refunded if any part of the test is failed, and it is paid again before every testing attempt.
- CDL fee
- A Class A, B, or C commercial license is $32 for eight years. Every commercial license also requires a $35 application fee. A license with an H or X endorsement is limited to five years. Online services may take $5 off an eligible transaction. That discount is not included in the listed fees.
- Skills-test fee
- The road skills test is $50. The applying page says the $35 application fee covers four test attempts. After the fourth failed attempt, or if 360 days pass between attempts, a new application and another $35 are required.

Named program charges
No school in Georgia has a program charge reprinted here. A directory listing is not a price. Ask the school for a written quote for the class, location, and schedule you want.

Questions drivers ask
How much does CDL training cost in Georgia?
This page does not publish a statewide tuition. The license amounts are the lines on the official fee source checked October 29, 2026. A school price appears only when a named program page was already checked, and that price is not a quote for another school.
Are the Georgia license fees the whole bill?
No. A permit, a license card, a skills test, a medical exam, and a school charge are different payments. If one of those lines was missing from the licensing page, it is not filled in from another state.
Does a directory listing include the price?
No. A listing in the Georgia school directory is not a tuition quote and not a funded seat.
