What should I study for the CDL passenger endorsement test?

Study passenger loading and unloading, emergency exits, fires, unruly passengers, railroad crossings, drawbridges, and braking. 49 CFR 383.93 requires both a knowledge test and a skills test, and the skills test is taken in a passenger vehicle of that group. These questions explain the federal topics checked October 29, 2026. They are not the state exam and they do not issue an endorsement.

Topics in this set

Passenger knowledge topics, the skills test in a passenger vehicle, and the difference from knowledge-only endorsements.
